Gossett, Annette

G crayonGreetings!

I am delighted to welcome you and your child to 3A. Third grade is a big transition year for many students and parents as this is the first year that students take the S.T.A.A.R. (State of Texas Assessment of Academic Readiness). We will work very carefully throughout the year to prepare for the Math and Reading S.T.A.A.R. I will also post educational links on the left side of this page so students can practice skills that we learn in class at home.

In order to have a successful school year, it is essential that parents and I communicate and work together to support their child's learning. We can do this in several ways. You may call me, email me, or make an appointment to see me during my conference period. Writing me a note in your child's planner is also an excellent way of communicating with me. I check the students' planners each morning so your message will be answered promptly.

I have been teaching with EPISD since 2002. I previously taught at Roosevelt Elementary School and have been at Aoy since 2006.  I have taught 5th grade, 4th grade, and now 3rd grade. I love teaching and it is an honor and privilege to teach Aoy students. I look forward to an exciting school year with you!
