Welcome to 2nd Grade at Aoy Elementary!
I believe in educating the whole child, not only in academics, but emotionally and socially as well. Children are unique individuals, and
they each have a particular type of learning style. It ismy responsibility to discover how to meet the children's needs by constantly modifying my activities. My expectations are simple, I would like for each student to give their best every day. I expect parents, students and I to work together as one team to create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning. Any behavior that keeps any of the students from learning will not be tolerated and will be handled in a consistent, firm, and fair manner. During the course of this year my students will learn the importance of knowing when things need to be done, and how important it is for assignments to be turned in on time. Responsibility plays a big role in a person's life. Therefore, I believe students should acknowledge responsibility when they are young.
I graduated from Texas Tech University with Bachelors of Science in Human Development and Family Studies. I then earned my teaching certificate from UTEP. I am certified to teach EC-4th grade bilingual education.
My classroom door is always open to both parents and students. My conference period is from 8:15 to 9:00AM. You can also reach me through e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org.
